Hello; The line goes through Ichabod Doggett’s wife, Priscilla Freeman. The Freemans are descended from Mayflower descendants through the Elder Brewster, therefore any descendant of Ichibod and Priscilla Doggett are considered “Mayflower Descendants” Ichabod is my wife’s great, great, great, great grandfather.

  3. Hi. My father was named George W. Doggett and was born in Hunts Point, Nova Scotia. Since I’m now retired, I’ve just been interested in the family history. My mother could only remember my grandfather’s name as “Robie” (cf. Robert) and my cousins are tight lipped (estate issues, I guess) so, I was wondering, does anyone has any information as to the Doggett family line to Hunts Point?

    • Hi Wayne some of my Doggett family still live in Hunts Point NS cousin Alex Doggett and family there
My greats grandfather John Doggett settled there in the early 1700’s was bequeathed a island there called Doggett Island now Port Mouton.

  5. My Grandfather is Clifford Roy Doggett born 1895. The story goes that he was the illegitimate child of the then school teacher Sarah Henrietta Hoffman and William H. Doggett. WH and his wife Sophia adopted him and he took the Doggett name. Does anyone have information on Sarah Hoffman ?
